THE DESIGNER’S PLAYGROUND

The DesignLab opens up a universe of possibilities. We call it ‘the designer’s playground’. Our customers are given the opportunity to mix and match shapes, textures and colours from our extensive material database, which ensures a unique product, where quality, functionality and design are taken into account.

INSPIRATION MEETING

We are introduced to each other, share our knowledge and match our expectations for the process. Furthermore, at Metalwo we also make sure to introduce the customer to available materials, construction options and features. We bring in our experts in the different fields to make sure the project is followed through to the end.

1

CONCRETISATION

Together with the customer, we define the task and look into requirement specifications. We clearly define who does what and where the responsibility lies for obtaining the right data, information, drawings, data sheets, etc. We also involve external partners and suppliers in the process.

We will draw up a timetable and budget for the job. We prioritise matching expectations so that there are no surprises later in the process.

2

PROTOTYPE AND TESTING

Once the plan is finalised, we produce a pilot batch or prototype to show to the customer.

Various tests are then carried out. Depending on the product, this may include climate tests, UV tests, colour adhesion tests, IP tests, etc. We collaborate with the Danish Technological Institute and others, which we are happy to bring into the process as quality assurance.

We are always in close contact with the customer throughout the process to help manage the process and guide the customer along the way.

3

Field research

The prototypes/pilot batch are tested in field research. We get regular feedback on whether everything is working as expected.

4

ADJUSTMENT

On the basis of the information gathered under points 3 and 4, adjustments are made, if necessary. Perhaps a number of new prototypes will be made. If this is not necessary, we can go straight into batch production.

5

PRODUCTION

We now start a batch production, following the agreements we have made with the customer.
We take pride in making the process as short and efficient as possible. This saves time for all parties involved and minimises the financial investment.
