1939

METALWO YESTERDAY AND TODAY

In 1939, when Metalwo took its first steps, it was with an exclusive focus on production-related activities. However, much water has passed under the bridge, and we are proud to say that today we are much more than just a manufacturing company. We have grown to become a company that dares to take the lead and innovate when the opportunity arises. This mindset is what got us to where we are today, and we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver quality, design and innovative solutions.

We prioritise action in our collaborations, and we have the resources and know-how to turn ideas into action. At the same time, we understand the importance of meeting the customer where they are and together creating a space where thoughts can become reality. We take great pride in following product development from start to finish, and this is made possible by the fact that we house all production in Hasselager, where we are headquartered.

Vision

Our aim is to become the preferred sounding board and collaboration partner for European designers and industries, which will allow us to capitalise on our production skills and know-how. The primary target group will be designers, development houses, strategic buyers in industry, development departments including development engineers, universities, technical colleges, and the start-up environments in Aarhus and Copenhagen. The industries our customers are most often in are medico, defence, electronics, consumer, maritime sector, etc.

Mission

Metalwo DesignLab is an inspirational universe that aims to inspire, visualise materials and primarily help developers and designers to create their products.
Our products and processes will be constantly changing. The complexity of services will increase from simple and relatively cheap solutions to more complex and expensive overall solutions.
Metalwo’s in-house production is crucial as a platform for niche solutions and to maintain a high level of specialists and in-house skills. Our two production units in Denmark and China complement each other in sourcing, purchasing, production, etc.

METALWO IN THE ENTREPRENEURIAL ENVIRONMENT IN AARHUS

At the end of 2018, Metalwo joined the fight for a stronger entrepreneurial environment in Aarhus. Under the leadership of Nikolaj Berg, CEO, we have developed an agenda where entrepreneurship, innovation and product development are high on the agenda. With the possibilities offered by our DesignLab, Metalwo can approach product development in an entirely new way. We want to invite the entrepreneur and let them try out solutions and combinations, whereby Metalwo will stand by and offer knowledgeable expertise, advice and guidance. In this way, as an established and experienced player in the industry, we hope to embrace the talent and potential to develop the businesses of tomorrow.
