SMALL, MEDIUM AND LARGE BATCHES

ONE OF THE MOST FLEXIBLE AND QUALITY-CONSCIOUS ANODISING SUPPLIERS IN DENMARK

Anodising is a surface treatment process that protects aluminium against corrosion and the effects of light, liquids and particles. Anodising makes the surface more robust and durable, while giving the item a nice surface finish.

We have the optimal fixtures to streamline the process.

NEED INSPIRATION?

We are happy to help inspire you to make the right choice of finish and colour.

Fast delivery

We are one of Denmark’s fastest and probably cheapest anodising companies.

APPLICATION, ADVANTAGES / DISADVANTAGES

We offer to meet industry requirements for anodising.

Anodising is suitable for items that have, for example:

  • Electric dielectric strength
  • Wear and tear
  • Friction
  • Corrosion resistance

SURFACE TEXTURE AND APPEARANCE AFTER SURFACE TREATMENT

  • The natural surface of the metal is preserved
  • Depending on the alloy, µ (my) and hardness, the surface will have a uniform natural anodised colour
  • When an anodisable aluminium surface is anodised, the surface is subsequently rougher than before. At Metalwo, we can reduce surface roughness

thickness

The thickness of the anodised layer is chosen according to the desired corrosion resistance, hardness and colour properties

  • 12-20 µ depending on the alloy and process

Fits

If items have fits with tolerances in excess of 0.03mm, this must be clearly stated in the order. Items can then be made on a special program where less staining is done. Be aware that this may have an effect on the finished result, visually.

Fixture

Items for anodizing must be suspended in such a way that there is good current-carrying contact. If possible, items are hung in holes, but often it is necessary to hang on edges – which gives hanging marks. If there is a requirement for the placement of suspension or if there are places where there must not be suspension marks, this must be clearly shown in the drawing. ikke må være ophængsmærker skal dette tydligt fremgå af tegning.

Colours

Alloys

The content of the different raw materials in the aluminium must be the correct mix to achieve a uniform appearance after anodising.

We anodise according to ISO 9001. We are happy to provide certificates and reports at the customer’s request. We work with master items so that we define a colour spectrum (min. and max.). In this way, we ensure uniformity within the agreed colours/shades - also in case of reproduction.

Types of aluminium suitable for anodising can be the following:

  • Al99/ 99,5
  • AlMn1 – AlMn1Mg0,5/1 – AlMnCu
  • AlMg1 – AlMg2,5 – AlMg3 – AlMg5
  • AlMgSi0,5/ 0,7/ 1
  • AlMg2Mn0,3/ 0,8
  • AlZnMgCu0,5/ 1,5
